Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner

When conventional wisdom fails…

Frankly, most of the decisions we make every single day are built on assumptions or faith and not facts or reality. None of us have the time and energy to find these answers, instead we go with the wisdom passed down to us from family or experts. The advice we receive can be accurate, but many times the information we gather can be misleading or downright wrong.

Freakonomics is a very interesting book that exposes how our world really works. It looks beyond the supposedly tried and true. The authors dig deep into the numbers to not only expose our miscalculations but show us that truth can be much stranger than fiction.

The authors keep you interested with apparently asinine questions that lead to somewhat unbelievable answers. Anyone who likes to see how things really work, this is the book for you.
